Privacy policy

Who we are

Hyon is the website you are currently visiting. You can read it without registering, and we collect no personal data beyond what is described below.

Contact form

If the contact form is available and you submit it, your name, email address and message are delivered to us by email through Web3Forms. We use them only to reply to you. They are not stored in a database on this site and are not used for marketing.

Station map and location

The map and country outlines are served by Hyon. Our server retrieves station records and operator availability reports from H2-Stations without passing on your location or browser identity. Selecting “Near me” requests your browser’s location permission; distance calculations happen on your device. We do not save these coordinates.

Directions and operator links open external websites only when you follow them. Those websites have their own privacy policies. Hosting providers may process routine server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service.

Cookies and your choice

On your first visit a banner asks you to choose between Accept all and Decline all. Nothing optional runs until you choose.

  • Strictly necessary: one first-party cookie, cookie-consent, stores your choice (accepted or declined) for 12 months so we don't ask on every page. It contains no personal data.
  • Accept all additionally allows privacy-friendly, aggregate page-view statistics (if enabled on this site) and embedded third-party media such as videos or maps, which may set their own cookies.
  • Decline all means none of the above loads — ever. Embedded media shows a placeholder; you can load a single item with one click if you wish.

You can change your decision at any time: (also linked in the footer of every page).

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Contact us via the contact page to exercise these rights. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
