About Hyon

Practical information for a hydrogen journey.

Hydrogen Challenger vessel in the harbour of Bremerhaven.

Hyon is an independent English-language station directory and journal covering hydrogen transport across Europe. We help readers find potential refuelling stops, understand the limits of reported availability, and ask useful questions about vehicles, fuel supply and infrastructure.

Start with a usable journey

A map marker is the beginning of a check, rather than a promise of fuel. Our directory separates supported pressure and vehicle options, provides operator information where reported, and labels missing or stale availability as unknown. Before relying on a stop, verify your vehicle’s requirements, access arrangements and current service with the operator.

Know where the information comes from

Station information comes from H2-Stations under its Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Our map adapts the data into filters, readable details and a first-party interface. Coverage reflects participating operators and reported records; it is not a guaranteed inventory of every European station. Our data sources page explains refresh behaviour and the local snapshot used when a source is unavailable.

Read guides with evidence

Our journal covers refuelling, ownership, technology, production and infrastructure. Each guide has a clear purpose, related reading and links to primary sources. We label illustrative calculations and avoid presenting forecasts, proposed capacity or design targets as measured operating results. Articles use the Hyon Editorial Desk collective byline; we do not invent individual experts or credentials.

An independent publication

This website has no affiliation with the former HYON company or its historical business. The domain’s past does not establish endorsement, continuity or commercial relationships. Hyon is a new publication focused on useful station information and clear explanations.

Use the map with either cookie choice

The map uses local geographical shapes and first-party station endpoints. Optional analytics and external media require consent when configured. Your browser location is used locally to sort nearby stations and is not sent by this site to the station provider. External directions and operator websites open only when you choose their links.
